In recent months, work has continued on the organization of the events of the great Jubilee Year in Rome, the World Ultreya 2025, on June 6, and the participation as Cursillos of Christianity Movement in the Jubilee of Movements, associations and new ecclesial communities, on June 7 and 8, 2025.
The Organizing Committee, formed jointly by the OMCC and the National Secretariat of Italy, which met for two days in Gazzada (Milan, Italy) and continues to work virtually, has already been able to concretize various issues of both the Ultreya and the Jubilee activities, which are reported below.
ABOUT THE WORLD ULTREYA
- The World Ultreya of the Cursillo Movement will occur on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls in Rome, between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
- The theme of the Ultreya will be: “Did not our hearts burn within us as he spoke to us on the way?” (Lk 24:32).
- Registration and accreditation will be required to participate in the Ultreya, the request and distribution of which will be made through the National Secretariats.
- Each National Secretariat will make a joint registration for all the participants of the country and will organize its way of making the list of participants and collecting the registration fee. The registration period will be open between January 15 and March 15.
- The cost of registration and accreditation, both for the Ultreya and the Jubilee activities, will be 35 € per person. Children under 15 years of age will have a registration fee of 15 € and children under 5 years of age will have free access.
- The accreditation that will be received with the registration will give access to the venue of the Ultreya, the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, and will be accompanied by the proper material for participation in it (bag with scarf and booklet of contents songs and liturgical celebrations). Food and drink are not included.
- The official languages of the Ultreya will be Italian, Spanish, and English. A simultaneous translation system is being prepared and will be made available to participants.
- The Organizing Committee will be in charge of all the details of the development of the Ultreya but will not be responsible for the travel arrangements of the participants. Each participant, or each group, will have to manage the transfers to the Basilica, arrive at the scheduled start time, and leave once they have finished.
- The Ultreya logo is included below. This logo is available for use by all National and Diocesan Secretariats in their fundraising, flyers, etc.
