From October 1 to 3, at the Casa di Spiritualità Centro Giovanni XXIII in Frascati (Rome), OMCC collaborators for the organization of the 2025 World Ultreya in Rome, led by their president Álvaro Martínez, met with the Cursillos in Christianity Movement (MCC) of Italy, within the framework of their Ordinary Annual Assembly. It was a meeting full of joy, fraternity, and hope, in continuity with the spirit experienced during the World Ultreya.
During these days, the concluding documents and the memory of the great world event were worked on, gathering the fruits of an experience that has left a deep mark on the Movement at the international level.
The working meetings and shared moments took place in an atmosphere of listening, communion, and a sincere desire to continue building together an MCC that is faithful to its charism and open to the new challenges of evangelization. The welcome from the MCC of Italy was extraordinary: warm, fraternal, and full of details that made us feel at home.
There was a true spirit of family, of unity in diversity, and of joy in knowing that we are part of the same mission.
During the meeting, the words of Pope Francis resonated: “The world needs us to share the joy of the Gospel in order to bring hope to everyone… to be pilgrims, walking together in the Church, but also going out to meet others”. With this conviction, the OMCC and MCC of Italy renewed their commitment to continue being instruments of encounter—with God, with our brothers and sisters, and with ourselves—and witnesses to the joy of the Gospel in the heart of the world.
