1. DATE:
August 5 to 11, 2024 (six nights, seven days)
2. TYPE OF PILGRIMAGE
We will follow a system frequently used in the youth pilgrimages of many dioceses in Spain: we have a Base Camp for the pilgrimage, where the pilgrims will stay every night. It is located in the town of O Pedrouzo, 20 km from Santiago de Compostela. Every day, the pilgrims leave the camp, leaving their luggage there, to travel by bus to the starting point of the day’s stage. They travel the day’s stage, about 20 km, until they reach their destination. There, they have lunch, the
Eucharist, and a time of sharing. In the afternoon, they return by bus to the Camp, where they will have dinner and rest until the next day.
3. PARTICIPANTS
• Maximum 350 people, to be distributed among all the International Groups.
• Participants will be primarily YOUNG PEOPLE (18-35 years old).
• Those “young in spirit” (max. 90 years old) who wish to participate should inquire about the availability of free places.
• Specific activities of the Pilgrimage will be open to the free participation of the
Cursillista family: the Eucharist, both the sending Eucharist and those of each day, as well as the final Eucharist in Santiago de Compostela, and the International Ultreya on 11/8/24 also in Santiago.
4. COST
The total cost is 400 €, including accommodation at Base Camp, all meals, and bus transfers during the pilgrimage.
Transfers to and from the Base Camp in O Pedrouzo are not included. Each group will have to manage these transfers independently.
5. REGISTRATION
The following procedure will be followed:
• Participation in the Pilgrimage requires prior registration and payment of the registration fee.
• An online registration system will be available for all pilgrims.
• Registration will be done by National Secretariats; each National Secretariat will make a joint registration for all pilgrims in the country.
• Each National Secretariat will organize its own way of listing pilgrims and collecting the registration fee.
• Upon registration, you will receive instructions to pay the total number of pilgrims in the country.
